An 8 fits like an 8 shouldI have a narrow foot and thought that the elastic around the top would help the show fit better but it was still too loose. I went up a half size and suggested by other people who bought the shoe and the length was o.k. but it slipped up and down on my heel.This shoe will dress up or down for any occasion. It is super comfy and I can wear it for hours, which is more than I an say about most shoes. I like it so much, I will probably get more pairs in different colors or with different decorations.I have old feet with poor arches and bunions, so I really can't handle heels at all. These shoes were the perfect way to wear "sensible shoes" without being frumpy. Hurray!I have a narrow foot and these work well. These are fun shoes not high quality shoes and for the price are well made. Little arch support but my feet do not require that so they work fine.These shoes are very comfortable. They can be worn as dressy or casual.
